Tony Huge: “Did I Just Experience a Heart Attack?”

Tony Huge received diagnoses for various cardiac conditions.

Tony Huge has been a prominent figure in the bodybuilding community for years due to his extensive research in the field. He has undertaken numerous studies involving anabolic steroids and other supplements. Lately, Huge caught the flu, which led to some complications in his chest. He also dealt with the COVID Delta variant in August. He disclosed that he feared he was experiencing a cardiac arrest.

On Saturday, Tony Huge shared a video on his YouTube channel detailing the situation.

“I think I may have had a cardiac arrest. At least I was experiencing significant pain and pressure in my chest. Although I didn’t exhibit symptoms like a numb arm or other typical signs, I consulted friends who had suffered heart attacks. They mentioned that sometimes they didn’t have those symptoms and that merely the chest pressure could suffice to suggest a possible heart attack,” Tony Huge explained.

Tony Huge underwent several cardiac tests which revealed his levels were significantly higher than normal. This included a D-Dimer score exceeding 2,500, compared to the normal range of below 500. Additionally, Huge’s CPK was recorded at 1,379, nearly seven times the normal level.

Huge acknowledged his insufficient cardio routine to bolster his heart. He intended to incorporate cardio exercises into his regimen but managed to do so only once or twice monthly. Ultimately, Huge was diagnosed with mitral valve prolapse, a condition where the heart’s mitral valve fails to close correctly, causing blood to flow backward into the heart.

“I need to undergo further testing to determine if heart surgery is necessary to repair the valve…I contracted a severe flu that almost led to my demise. I was unaware that it could harm the heart both directly and indirectly. The flu damages the lungs, causing increased heart pressure, which in turn damages the heart.”

Tony Huge will have additional tests to decide the best course of action for this issue. Surgery might be required to address the problem, but this is yet to be confirmed. The pressure Huge experienced made him feel as though he was having a heart attack, which was not the case. Hopefully, with thorough testing and appropriate measures, the issue can be resolved.

“I have been diagnosed with Mitral Valve Prolapse with blood regurgitation, chest pain, and excessive heart strain, showing critical levels of heart inflammation.

Doctor’s recommendation: Additional testing and potential surgical repair of the mitral valve. There has been a recent surge in deaths and cardiac problems in bodybuilding. It is crucial to get to the root of it,” Tony Huge captioned on his video.
