Austrian Death Machine is a band with an intriguing background and an unusual artistic angle. Founded by Tim Lambesis, they are noted for their metalcore tunes, distinctive lyrics, and their homage to all things Arnold Schwarzenegger. The band’s name pays tribute to the former Mr. Olympia and action star, blending Arnold’s legendary image with the fierce energy of a death metal ensemble.

The band originated in 2008, debuting with the album ‘Total Brutal,’ which was well-received by both fans and critics, establishing their quirky musical style. Tracks like ‘Get to the Choppa,’ ‘If It Bleeds, We Can Kill It,’ and ‘Come With Me If You Want to Lift’ highlighted their affection for Schwarzenegger, cementing their reputation as a metal act with a unique comedic twist.

However, Austrian Death Machine went quiet following their 2011 release ‘Double Brutal,’ leaving enthusiasts speculating on their return. Unexpectedly, they reemerged with a fresh music video, ‘No Pain, No Gain,’ in 2023. But what adds a fascinating layer to this revival is the inclusion of muscle-bound bodybuilder Craig Golias.

This unexpected partnership between a massive bodybuilder and a metal band known for Schwarzenegger-inspired lyrics and intense sound is a dream come true. Enthusiasts of both the fitness and metal worlds should definitely add this track to their workout motivation playlist.

Austrian Death Machine’s fusion of metalcore and Arnold Schwarzenegger-themed lyrics has struck a chord with fans who appreciate both metal music and bodybuilding. The band’s re-entry into the music arena is highly welcomed, and Golias’ collaboration infuses an electrifying element to their craft.

Craig Golias shared with Fit Journey Now how he became part of the band:

“Tim and I connected on Instagram for a workout session. He invited me to his place on Christmas 2021, and we jammed in his studio. I had been in metal bands during my teens, so I had the experience. We decided to collaborate, and we’ve been crafting songs for over a year. Today, our track finally got published through a label.”

For admirers of both Austrian Death Machine and Craig Golias, this collaboration appears to be the beginning rather than a one-time event. Golias mentioned that they have plans to shoot another music video soon, with more updates on the way. Meanwhile, enjoy Craig Golias bringing his MASSIVE energy to ‘No Pain, No Gain.’
