Neil Currey, a bodybuilder in the IFBB since 2019, has died.
Classic Physique competitor Neil Currey has died at the age of 34. The announcement was made on Monday night by RXMuscle and echoed by Milos Sarcev, a former trainer of Currey.
Currey began participating in IFBB events in 2019 and secured his first and only win in 2022. That same year, he made his inaugural appearance at the Mr. Olympia.

Hailing from the UK, Currey cultivated an enthusiasm for fitness early on. He discovered his passion for football during school, which was when he started weightlifting. Over time, Currey focused intently on his exercise regimen and nutritional plan, drawing significant inspiration from renowned bodybuilders like Arnold Schwarzenegger, ultimately leading to a career in bodybuilding.
Neil Currey’s bodybuilding journey began in 2017 at the World Championships, where he placed fifth in the pro muscle division. The following year, he entered the NPC level and clinched first place at the NPC Worldwide Amateur Olympia Italy competitions, earning his IFBB Pro Card and gaining the opportunity to compete with elite bodybuilders globally.
As a Classic Physique athlete at the IFBB level, Currey made his debut in 2019, securing seventh place at the Kuwait Pro—an impressive performance for his first professional stage appearance. He also competed at major events like the Tampa and Pittsburgh Pro competitions. In 2022, Currey claimed victory at the New York Pro, earning his qualification for his first Olympia competition.
When Neil Currey took the stage at the 2022 Olympia, he finished 16th in the Classic Physique category.
